Mandotech Industries has completed its new Super Ship Building facilities (shown above). Though the original is in Galaxy Sector 8, Mandotech Station & Shipyards has one station in each of the 8 Galactic Sectors.

In the system of Rexebe in Sector 1, Tezaeded in Sector 2, Lezaer in Sector 3, Gebiisso in Sector 4, Zaeredre in Sector 5, Oresmaa in Sector 6, Quandixe in Sector 7, and Esusale in Sector 8. We are happy to have managed to place a station in each Galactic Sector, and hope all will come to do business with us, for market goods and ships, or to just visit the facility.

You will probably notice a rather large ship under construction in one of the scaffolds. It is the MT1013 Super Carrier, which when finished, will lead what is aimed for as a full fleet. Unfortunately, the Super Carrier is super complicated, and lives up to it's name in size. We are hoping to be able to dock some of the largest ships in existence in the MT1013 Super Carrier, mostly military, of course.

Mandoman: "... despite his modesty, the guy is King, when it comes to spheres, curves, and unusually-shaped ships in Oolite." (Diziet Sma, 2013)

Sunbat3.png

The SUNBAT Line

The very first ships to fly out of the Mandotech Ind. scaffolds were the SunBat series. SunBats were designed for speed, and high maneuverability in a dogfight. In the right hands, they are a deadly opponent. The three ships that comprise this series are:

SunBat Original

SunBatMkII

NovaBat

FireAnt
Mantis

The KILLER INSECT line

Always progressing forward, Mandotech Industries set out to develop a series of fighter ships that use ball turrets. The first drafts showed what many thought an "insectile" look. Therefore, the new series was dubbed "The Killer Insect Series". There were to be four ships in this series. From smallest to largest, they are The FireAnt, The YellowJacket, The GreenHornet, and The Mantis. While Mandotech Industries is predominately human (though there are other species employed with us), the Killer Insect Series took on a disturbing "alien" look. We thought it was great, but understand that our tastes do not always appeal to everyone. The Killer Insect Series is as follows:

FireAnt

Yellow Jacket

Green Hornet

Mantis

MANDOTECH HEAVY HAULERS

The ships in this package include Ankalagon, BattleBarge, Diamond, Elbereth, Genesis, Megaladon, Slug, Snapper, StarMoth, Terra, Troller, UHU, and Ventura. The loads these ships haul vary from 45 tons, to 600 tons. Some are nearly impossible to dock with a Space Station except with docking computers. It can be done manually, but only by the very experienced pilot. Most of the ships, however, are not difficult to dock with the Station on manual at all. All of these ships except the Terra, and the Troller have been released as individual oxps.

MANDOTECH ATTACK SHIPS

This group of ships are just as described, attack ships. They play roles of escort, police, pirate, and bounty hunter. One, the Piranha, is super fast (600LM), but has no missile launcher, depending on it's lasers to do the talking, and no hyperdrive, so it depends on what ever ship it is escorting to jump from one system to another. If you want a nice selection of dangerous ships, on top of the myriad others available, this is a good package to have in your AddOns folder.

Firebird

Marauder

Piranha

Razor

Romulan Bird Of Prey

Slasher

Apex

SunSkipper

Big Blimpy
Splatomator

MANDOTECH OVOIDS

A group of ships, all with a simple character trait. They are all oval in some way. A few have been released as single oxps, such as the Blimpies. The rest are only to be found in this oxp. The ships are:

Alpha Centauri

Mandotech's first passenger liner. Just trying to be competitive in all fields of shipping.

Big Blimpy

It's a big blimp. Huge cargo capacity, but slow. Perfect for the old timer Ooliters.

Gnash

It's big, powerful, and really nasty in a fight. Did I mention that it carries 200 tons of cargo?

Razzer

Fast fighter, designed for escort duty. It has no Hyperdrive, so it has to follow the ship it is escorting through the worm hole that ship opens.

Small Blimpy

Splatomator

Ahh, flying fruit. Carries a lot of stuff, though, and is really cheap. I wished I knew enough to make it splatter red goo everywhere when it is blown up.

VTBS Cruiser
MT1024 Explorer

VTBS Ships

The VTBS (Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea) Ships are ones I fashioned after the two submarines in the TV series. There are slight differences, though, in order to make them fit into the Ooniverse as space ships, instead of submarines.

MT1024 Explorer

MT850 Bulldog
MT950 Mastiff
MT1012 Pitbull

MANDOTECH DOG FIGHTERS

The Mandotech Dog Fighters Pack started out as ships I was going to include in a fleet, which would also have a SuperCarrier, a Carrier, and a couple Battle Ships, and Destroyers. I haven't dropped the idea, and these ships may still turn up in a future Mandotech Fleet oxp.

These ships range from the little MT650Terrier, to the huge and nasty MT950Mastif, with the MT850Bulldog, and MT1012Pitbull in the middle.

They are all armed for war, and are on the side of the GalCops, and Navy. I have tried to make it so that pirates can't get any of these ships, unless a player decides to go rogue with one, and become an Offender.

Solarwing5.png

SOLARWING

If I had to chose one of my original ships as the defining ship of my collection, it would be the SolarWing. I have made other ships with as good, or better designs, but most of those were knock offs of some ship that already existed.

Feramborini5.png

Feramborini

The Feramborini is for the rich dare-devil, courting danger: a very expensive, very fast ship, with absolutely NO weapons. Zero. It doesn't even have ECM. This ship can outrun missiles...

Eruptor1.png

Eruptor

The Eruptor is possibly the deadliest ship to fly out of Mandotech's scaffolds. It was built for military/police use, and is loaded to the gills with weapons...

Ardvark4.png

Ardvark

The Ardvark is another contribution to the valiant small traders, that can't afford escorts, and are struggling to make it in the Galaxy.

Sideshooter9.png

SideShooter

A fun, and weird little fighter. A lot easier to pilot than you might think.

Sunbird5.png

SunBird

The SunBird was made to carry a huge amount of cargo to a planet or station...

Petra1.png

Petra

It's a Guitar... no, it's a ship... no, it's an electric Guitar... no, it's a ship. What ever, let's jam.

Boomerang12.png

Boomerang

The Boomerang is just a plain, sturdy trading ship. Its horseshoe shape allows a great deal of cargo...

Check it out, mate!

Sangreli2.png

Sangreli Trader

The Sangreli are camels... okay, not really camels...

Dart8.png

BullsEyeSquadron

The BullsEyeSquadron started out as an intended oxp that would bring all the ships together into a Squadron formation, with the not-yet-released MT6000Catapult, which is a carrier...

MT50Dart

The MT50Dart was intended as a tiny, swarm attack ship.

Arrow3.png

MT500Arrow

The MT500Arrow is the next largest in the Squadron. Although not the size of a Javelin, the Arrow is quite a bit bigger than the Dart.

MT5000Javelin

The MT5000Javelin is not only the largest of the three, but the largest by quite a degree.

T-Bird6.png

Mandotech WarBirds

Mandotech first made these bird-like ships to fill an order. It seems there were an unknown race of sentients on the fringes of the Galaxy...

Persephone

The Persephone is a trader vessel.

Proseus6.png

The Proseus is a big, nasty hunter/trader.

Paradox1a.png

Paradox

The Paradox serves as a hunter, or an escort. It's relatively quick, and fast, though not as much so as many others...

Paradox-b.png

Comet12.png

Comet

The Comet is a ship from a cartoon series, and I do not claim any credit for its design.

Brach4.png

MT2000Brachiator

The MT2000 Brachiator was built for monkeys...

MT1030Corvair

Corsair4.png

MT1035Corsair

The MT1030Corvair, and the MT1035Corsair were two ships originally designed to be a part of the Mandotech fleet. The fleet idea is defunct...

Jadeshadow16.png

JadeShadow

The Jade Shadow is a ship out of the ongoing Star Wars post movie book series. The ship is named after it's original owner, Mara Jade. One-time assassin for Emperor Palpatine, Mare Jade became a Jedi Knight after Palpatine's death.

Frizbee16.png

Frizbee

The Frizbee is a disk shaped ship, often referred to as a "flying saucer"...

Mandoman the Man

Have a look at this (2011). And while you do so, see how many of his 2011 issues have been sorted out over the years, either in the Vanilla game (easy start for New Commanders) or by OXP (ILS, Indestructible Injectors & Paddling Pool).
