Overview
Okti, originally from Turkey, used to play Elite on an IBM XT in 1990's, then graduated to Oolite and joined the community back in 2010. He still occasionally lurks in the wings!
Okti's wizardry with tweaking the code allowed a number of missions to be created such as Xeptatl's Sword & Coyote's Run.
A number of his oxp's were tarred as being "cheats" at the time. But, as with all oxp's, nobody was forced to use any of them! Some of his "cheats" are incredibly useful for .oxp developers and testers, though. Others might have been seen as cheats by the original Elite players, those burnishing the flame of Bell & Braben's 8-bit Classic Elite masterpiece, but are what most would expect to find in a future with advanced technology. And some of these were quite brilliant, and were taken up by Phkb & others, polished and expanded, and put on the in-game Expansions Manager.
