Overview
Turrets are included in the Vanilla game code but seem only to be used by OXP ships & dockables. Aegidian included turrets back in 2004.
OXP's
Quite a number of OXPs include turrets. See, for example, the Naval ships & stations in Category:Navies
The Yasen-N Turret is the premier Oolite example of a buyable turret.
See also Turret Toggler - which toggles your turrets "off" to prevent them lambasting everything you look at!
- Twin Plasma Cannon which may be relevant (plasma forerunner of the turrets, predates the laser).
