Sector1/Riredi is the home of Coluber Inc. (Coluber Works and Shipyards Ltd.) and Riredisec Ltd. (a well established transport company that is specialized in the transportation of larger quantities of gold, platinum and gemstones).
The station is thus unique (designed and built by Coluber) and is guarded by Pitviper Mark IIs which are manufactured locally by Coluber.
This OXP was created by Captain Beatnik in 2014.
Riredi v.2.0
This OXP has been updated by Phkb in 2024 (currently v.2.2)
The new version includes
- retextures of the Sodalite station & buoy,
- retexture of the planet (now includes city lights)
- introduces various trading tweaks (illegality of radioactives, a New Cargoes commodity)
- creates a preponderance of Coluber ships in the station shipyard (if the various Coluber ship OXPs are loaded)
- introduces retextured Coluber police ships to the system.
- includes PlanetFall 2 integration.
It links in with Phkb's Pitviper Mark II Facelift OXP (See Coluber Pitviper).
Development
- The original OXP was created by Captain Beatnik back in 2014 (planet texture, description, station).
- It was then rejigged as an OXZ for the in-game Expansions Manager by Dybal in 2020.
- Phkb then added in city lights to the planet textures, improved ship textures, New Cargoes and planet landing sites for PlanetFall2 in 2024.
- Captain Beatnik has since added much lore for the planet (see his User:page for links to it).
