The Traders Almanach

From Elite Wiki
Revision as of 18:19, 1 November 2009 by Treczoks (talk | contribs)

The Traders Almanach is supposed to be based on the personal notes of the seasoned and experienced trader Cmdr. James "Mercury" Kilbery. This guy has seen all the systems in the eight galaxies, including Oresrati in the emote seven o'clock corner of galaxy sector eight - at least thats a common rumor about this person. Commander Kilbery can not be queried on the correctness of the above mentioned statements as he is supposed to be lost in witchspace.

Memory sticks with more or less complete variations of The Traders Almanach can be found on almost every trading ship on the universe.

(This is a work in progress - the following excerpts are provided with the request to look for syntactic mistakes - I am no native speaker, and the Almanach is generated by a program, both being a potential source for bad English. Once the Galaxy Guide is established, the long list will be shortened down to a few "gems". Contact user treczoks on the Oolite Bulletin Board to complain :-) )

Contents

Tibedied

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Whatever you buy, move them to Azaqu. And I would buy microprocessors, bulldozers and Tibediedian modern art items in that order for this trip. My guesstimate is: those microprocessors I mentioned sell there with a gain of roughly 25 to 35%.

Qube

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: Best would be to buy bargain TV dinners or casks of 'Noer' - a liquor they distill only in Qube - and haul them to Raleen. They give you about 100 to 110%, at least in Raleen. Additionally, those TV dinners can also be sold well enough in Edzaon. Moreover, piracy has been reported to be on the rise in Edzaon.

Leleer

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Best would be to buy nutri-pills or liquors and transport them to Aona. Best take these tasteless nutri-pills, they give a decent 37 to 45%. On another thought, these tasteless nutri-pills can also be sold well enough in Rabedira, Entizadi, or Usrarema.

Biarge

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Best would be to buy computers or Biargese sledgehammers and transport them to Biramabi. There is a good chance that the computers give you a margin of about 51 to 58%. Furthermore, the computers can also be sold well enough in Encereso.

Xequerin

Once you've got more Credits to spend, the best would be to buy microprocessors or Xequerinian modern art items and transport them to Riveis or Diedar. Besides, those microprocessors I mentioned can also be sold well enough in Anxeonis.

Tiraor

My trading tip for small money: Best choice in Tiraor is to haul either memory banks or excavators to Atrebibi or Teesdi. The first goods sell there usually with a gain of 49 to 57%. What's more, you can also move those memory banks to Zainlabi, Usralaat, or Edzaon, although they give you not as many credits there. And in case your ship is not an iron ass, you'd better avoid Edzaon.

Rabedira

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best would be to buy memory banks or Rabediran modern art items and transport them to Atriso. The trip to Atriso is best, indeed, and gives you a gain of 22 creds for each ton. In addition, those memory banks can also be sold well enough in Qucerere.

Lave

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: You can't make a mistake with buying Lavese bacons here. You've got the choice to move them to Zaonce with a good plus of 80 to 90%, with Leesti being the second choice in destinations and Orerve last. Of lately, there have been piracy reports from Orerve.

Zaatxe

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Best would be to buy memory chips or tractors and move them to Alaza. That first choice is quite nice and yields 50 to 57% for your account. Additionally, the memory chips can also be sold well enough in Celabile or Edreor.

Diusreza

My trading tip for small money: When you are going to haul microprocessors, sell them in Zaerla or Rigeti with a plus of 35 to 43%, or in Tioranin or Aerater, which give you less. Moreover, you could also ship bargain TV dinners to Erlage. On another thought, piracy has been reported to be on the rise in Zaerla and Rigeti.

Teaatis

If every Credit counts, try this: Best would be to buy Teaatisian breads or barrels with Teaatisian gin and ship them to Larais. I'd say those breads are best, naturally, and will probably sell with a profit of 47 to 54% in Larais. Furthermore, those breads can also be sold well enough in Legees.

Riinus

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: You can't make a mistake with buying memory chips here. You've got the choice to move them to Usatqura, Raale, or Aanbiat each ton for a good profit of 33.0 creds, with Xeaqu or Sotiera being the second choice in destinations and Diquer last. Of lately, there have been piracy reports from Raale, Xeaqu, and Sotiera.

Esbiza

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best choice in Esbiza is to move either memory chips or Esbizan furniture items made from real wood to Qudira. Each ton gives about 39 Credits more there than you pay here for the stuff, so I was told in a bar in Ara. Besides, you can also transport the memory chips to Aate or Ribilebi, although they give you not as many credits there. For bounty and glory try Qudira, where dangerous pirates have been reported.

Ontimaxe

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: Best would be to buy food containers or Ontimaxese liquors and move them to Mariar. I'd say those food containers are best, indeed, and will probably sell with a profit of 33 to 42% in Mariar. What's more, those food containers can also be sold well enough in Vebege. In addition, some traders report that piracy incidents have been active in Vebege.

Cebetela

If the limiting factor is the size of the cargo bay, you've got to get the best gain per unit: Best would be to buy memory banks or Cebetelan furniture items made from real wood and transport them to Velete. And those memory banks are decent, giving you a rake-off of 22 Credits per unit. Additionally, those memory banks can also be sold well enough in Anerbe.

Ceedra

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: Biggest bang for the credit in Ceedra is nutri-pills to Tibecea or Diquxe. Second is memory banks to Isdibi or Zaleriza. And third is tractors to Isdibi or Zaleriza. Trading in Tibecea, Isdibi, and Zaleriza is quite dangerous for beginners.

Rizala

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Fill your ship with memory chips and transport them either to Geisgeza or Riantiat, quite the best you can get in Rizala, or to Riveis, which is third rank here. Somewhere in the middle between them is to transport furs to Zasoceat. And in case your ship is not an iron ass, you'd better avoid Geisgeza.

Atriso

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best would be to buy furs or wines and move them to Ensoreus. Moreover, those furs can also be sold well enough in Rabedira.

Teanrebi

My trading tip for small money: You can't make a mistake with buying odd Teanrebiian 'Onthce pies' here. You've got the choice to move them to Anle or Tianve, which give you about 230 to 260% in Anle, with Ededleen being the second choice in destinations and Oreseren last. Of lately, there have been piracy reports from Ededleen and Oreseren.

Azaqu

My trading tip for small money: You can't make a mistake with buying Azaquan bacons here. You've got the choice to move them to Edinso or Relaes with a decent plus of 110 to 140%, with Tibedied being the second choice in destinations and Quator last. On another thought, some traders report that dreadful brigands have been active in Edinso, Tibedied, and Quator.

Retila

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best choice in Retila is to haul either microprocessors or Retilan musical instruments to Bibe. Each ton gives about 22 Credits more there than you pay here for the stuff. Furthermore, you can also move those microprocessors I mentioned to Ququor, although they give you not as many credits there. Trading in Bibe is quite dangerous for beginners.

Sotiqu

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Regardless which of my suggested items you buy, Esusti or Inonri should be your destination. And I would buy odd Sotiquan furs, brandy bottles and radioactive isotopes - in that order. There is a good chance that those furs give you a margin of about 21 Cr./ton (I found that information in a pirate's logbook around Usrarema).

Inleus

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: You can't make a mistake with buying memory banks here. You've got the choice to move them to Velete - they give you a decent 27.0 creds profit for each ton -, with Anerbe being the second choice in destinations and Beor or Anlere last.

And in case your ship is not an iron ass, you'd better avoid Cetiisqu.

Xeesle

Once you've got more Credits to spend, the best would be to buy microprocessors or Xeeslese furniture items made from real wood and haul them to Isinor or Ararus. If I remember correctly, I bought 30 tons of those microprocessors I mentioned here and sold them with a plus of 669 Credits in Ararus. Additionally, those microprocessors I mentioned can also be sold well enough in Esesla, Ontiat, Bemaera, or Zaalela. Trading in Ararus and Zaalela is quite dangerous for beginners.

Inera

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy memory banks or hand-made Ineran sculptures and ship them to Raale or Aanbiat. The trip to Raale or Aanbiat is best, of course, and gives you a gain of 39 creds for each ton (I found that information in a pirate's logbook around Bibe). On another thought, those memory banks can also be sold well enough in Sotiera. Of lately, there have been piracy reports from Raale and Sotiera.

If every Credit counts, try this: You can't make a mistake with buying food containers here. You've got the choice to move them to Arexe or Anisor - in Anisor, they get you a decent profit of 110 to 140% -, with Xequerin or Atarza being the second choice in destinations and Rizala or Esanbe last. Furthermore, piracy has been reported to be on the rise in Atarza.

Bivea

If every Credit counts, try this: You can't do anything wrong with buying odd Biveaian 'Zadi pies' here. You've got the choice to move them to Enzaer or Teraed - in Teraed, they get you a decent profit of 220 to 250% -, with Atbevete being the second choice in destinations and Qurave last.

Ermaso

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Best would be to buy Ermasoese bacons or barrels containing the strange wine from the sloping hills of Ermaso and transport them to Geinona. Besides, those breads can also be sold well enough in Quorte. What's more, some traders report that brigands have been active in Geinona.

Velete

My trading tip for small money: You can't make a mistake with buying Veletese cheeses here. You've got the choice to move them to Inleus, Ededleen, or Qurave, which give you about 180 to 210% in Qurave, with Cebetela or Tiquat being the second choice in destinations and Beor last. Trading in Ededleen and Cebetela is quite dangerous for beginners.

Engema

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Fill your ship with Engeman Esst-fleeces and transport them either to Bierle, as this is the best you can get here, or to Orso, which is third rank here. Somewhere in the middle between them is to haul memory chips to Teveri.

Atrienxe

If every Credit counts, try this: When you are going to transport odd Atrienxeian cheeses, sell them in Erlage - in Erlage, they get you a good profit of 39 to 47% -, or in Orso, which give you less. In addition, you could also transport memory chips to Xeesenri. Trading in Xeesenri is quite dangerous for beginners.

Beusrior

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: Biggest bang for the credit in Beusrior is Beusriorian cheeses to Isence. Second is computers to Uscela or Rilace. And third is machineries to Uscela or Rilace. Trading in Isence is quite dangerous for beginners.

Ontiat

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy Ontiatian Ilon-fleeces or casks of 'Onzain' - a liquor they distill only in Ontiat - and move them to Ensoreus or Qutiri. The first give you a margin of about 21 Cr. per ton. Additionally, those fleeces can also be sold well enough in Aronar. Moreover, some traders report that illegal activities have been active in Qutiri and Aronar.

Atarza

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy microprocessors or Atarzan furniture items made from real wood and move them to Geisgeza. Actually, that 'bit more' is about 22 Credits gain for each ton. On another thought, those microprocessors I mentioned can also be sold well enough in Riveis or Diedar.

Arazaes

Once you've got more Credits to spend, this would be best: Fill your ship with computers and haul them either to Ususor, as this is the best you can get here, or to Regeatge or Leoned, which is third rank here. Somewhere in the middle between them is to move furs to Ceesxe or Gerete. Furthermore, your ship should have more than a normal pulse laser if you want to trade in Ususor.

Xeeranre

Once you've got more Credits to spend, this would be best: Biggest bang for your cargo storage in Xeeranre is memory banks to Anarlaqu. Second is Xeeranrese Leetsodi-fleeces to Vetitice. And third is those fleeces to Inonri. Besides, piracy has been reported to be on the rise in Anarlaqu.

Quzadi

My trading tip for small money: When you are going to move famous Quzadiian 'Thoncedi pies', sell them in Biarge or Aona with a plus of 39 to 47%, or in Rabedira, Entizadi, or Usrarema, which give you less (I found that information in a pirate's logbook around Zainlabi). What's more, you could also ship memory banks to Biramabi. For bounty and glory try Biarge, where brigands have been reported.

Isti

Once you've got more Credits to spend, the best would be to buy Istian coats or barrels containing the strange wine from the sloping hills of Isti and move them to Cevege or Esteonbi. Additionally, your ship should have more than a normal pulse laser if you want to trade in Raoror and Ara.

Digebiti

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy memory chips or hand-made Digebitian sculptures and move them to Geerra. I once sold 25 tons of the memory chips in Geerra, and reaped a profit of 560 Credits. Moreover, the memory chips can also be sold well enough in Anxebiza.

Leoned

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best choice in Leoned is to haul either Leonedian coats or containers with the strange Leonedian drink 'On' to Ceesxe. I'd say those coats are best, indeed, and will probably sell with a profit of 21 Credits for each and every ton you ship. On another thought, you can also transport those coats to Veis, although they give you not as many credits there.

Enzaer

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Best would be to buy memory banks or machineries and ship them to Bivea or Rigeti. Actually, that 'bit more' you can get in Rigeti is about 58 to 66%. Furthermore, those memory banks can also be sold well enough in Aerater. There are credits to earn, if you know what to sell where. What's more, piracy has been reported to be on the rise in Bivea, Rigeti, and Aerater.

Vetitice

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: You can't do anything wrong with buying memory chips here. You've got the choice to move them to Anarlaqu - in Anarlaqu, they get you a decent profit of 60 to 67% -, with Ribiso being the second choice in destinations and Xeeranre last. For bounty and glory try Anarlaqu, where dangerous pirates have been reported.

Beraanxe

If you can spend some cash, try this: Fill your ship with computers and ship them either to Teanrebi, quite the best you can get in Beraanxe, or to Alaza or Anerbe, which is third rank here. Somewhere in the middle between them is to move fabulous Beraanxese furs to Anle or Tianve.

Atage

If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best would be to buy microprocessors or hand-made Atagese sculptures and haul them to Leritean. My guesstimate is: each ton of those microprocessors I mentioned sells there with a gain of roughly 22 Credits. Additionally, those microprocessors I mentioned can also be sold well enough in Bioris. And in case your ship is not an iron ass, you'd better avoid Leritean.

Once you've got more Credits to spend, the best would be to buy famous Zaerlan furs or beers and ship them to Diusreza or Aleusqu. Moreover, those furs can also be sold well enough in Biisorte. On another thought, your ship should have more than a normal pulse laser if you want to trade in Diusreza and Biisorte.

Esredice

Once you've got more Credits to spend, the best would be to buy memory banks or Esredicese modern art items and transport them to Usatqura, Raale, or Aanbiat. They give you about 27 Creds plus for every ton, so I was told in a bar in Riveis. Furthermore, those memory banks can also be sold well enough in Sotiera. For bounty and glory try Raale and Sotiera, where dreadful brigands have been reported.

Beor

If the limiting factor is the size of the cargo bay, you've got to get the best gain per unit: When you are going to ship Beorian Soza-fleeces, sell them in Inleus or Ededleen, as this is the best you can get here or in Cebetela, Oreseren, or Tiquat, which give you less. Besides, you could also transport Beorian furniture items made from real wood to Teanrebi or Velete. Trading in Ededleen, Cebetela, and Oreseren is quite dangerous for beginners.

Additionally, those fleeces can also be sold well enough in Eninre, Riredi, or Riiser. Moreover, your ship should have more than a normal pulse laser if you want to trade in Eninre.

When cash matters more than cargo capacity, I give you this advice: Best choice in Ininbi is to transport either microprocessors or bulldozers to Bibe. The first give you a quite nice 27 to 35% when you sell them in Bibe. With a little lower gain you can also transport the those microprocessors I mentioned to Ququor. If there is not much room left in your ship, this is my advice to you: Best would be to buy furs or wines and transport them to Anlama. A few years ago, I shipped 5 tons of those furs from Tiinlebi to Anlama, and sold it with a plus of 126 Credits. In addition, those furs can also be sold well enough in Esteonbi or Ritila.

Rateedar

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy memory chips or Rateedarian modern art items and haul them to Geerra or Ribiso. The trip to Geerra or Ribiso is best, indeed, and gives you a gain of 28 creds for each ton. Additionally, the memory chips can also be sold well enough in Encereso or Anxebiza.

Onlema

In a low-cash situation, this is my advice: Whatever you buy, haul them to Arraesso, Maesin, or Xexeti. And I would buy memory banks, mining equipment units and hand-made Onleman sculptures in that order for this trip. The first give you a decent 60 to 67% when you sell them in Xexeti. For bounty and glory try Arraesso, Maesin, and Xexeti, where illegal activities have been reported.

Orerve

If every Credit counts, try this: When you are going to transport Orervese cheeses, sell them in Onrira for a quite nice 37 to 47% profit, or in Oresqu, which give you less. Moreover, you could also transport memory chips to Riedquat. And in case your ship is not an iron ass, you'd better avoid Riedquat.
