Now that the wonderful DTT Heart of Gold has been has been added to the game, would anyone like to try my Improbability Drive OXP? It doesn't - at least reliably - allow travel (it's not an Infinite Improbability Drive, after all); rather, when activated it makes unpredictable strange things happen.
However, you will need
- to have the Cup of Tea OXP installed (it's that OXP, by Smivs, which grants the necessary tea-brewing ability), and, to use the included save file,
- have the Fer-de-Lance 3G OXP installed (since, as it happens, the ship referenced in the save file is one of those; if you don't use that save file, you'll need to find a TL 13+ station selling the Improbability Unity - and have the Cup of Tea equipment).

Overview
To activate the Improbability Unity, use the shift-N method (see Priming Equipment)!
Note that activating the unit depletes two energy banks.
Note also that some of the stuff I have planned for the unit, including changing nearby ships into other ships/things, are not presently implemented. Have a look at the code to see both what is possible at the moment and some of what I have planned. At present, mostly, the Unit does fairly subtle things . .
Dependencies
Oolite v1.77 or later. No dependencies on other OXPs.
You will need to juggle the version of Oolite (see history section at the end) which you are using with the version of Cup of Tea to get all this to work!
Conflicts
Certain OXPs will conflict or interfere with the Improbability Drive. The exact identity of these is of course improbable.

This is an .oxp: Unzip, and just move the .oxp file into the AddOns folder of your Oolite installation.
