Design

Design based on the Eagle Mk II featured in Frontier: Elite II by Frontier Developments.

This is the first in a set of ships to expand the Ooniverse to include the Galactic Federation and the Empire of Achenar as background organisations.

The Eagle Mk II is a ship of the Galactic Federation, and is used primarily as an escort vessel. It is used by the Federal Navy and is a popular ship for new pilots to begin their careers in.

The Galactic Federation are rumoured to be targeting Zaonce in Galaxy 1.

Variants

This expansion includes the standard green coloured version of the Eagle Mk II, and is included as a pirate, given that a state of war exists between the Federation and GalCop. Several examples have been retained as salvage and some amateur manufacturers have started producing their own versions. As such, five playable versions have been included or different colours. One is a Special Edition (Eagle Mk II SE), colored black, which has slightly increased performance.

Note: Due to the Eagle Mk II's role as an escort vessel to slower ships, provision was never made for the installation of Witchdrive Fuel Injectors. They do, however, have hyperdrive for jumping between systems, and can be upgraded to jump between galaxies.

Download

The Eagle Mk II is found in the Eagle Mk II OXP. Alternate download on Oosat2
