Deletion sounds very impressive, but all it really does is make the page title unavailable! See the list of deleted pages (Deletion Log: https://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Special:Log/delete) and try playing around with them!
Don't forget that you can of course change the size of a picture on a wiki page.
