Killer Mountain Seoid

The Killer Mountain Seoids infest the higher mountain valleys of Digebiti and also on Orteed
The Digebitian variant are around 300 feet long (using the local units of measurement), they can usually be detected from a distance by the pungent aroma they exude, and by the sound of their movement.
Their antennae are often used in the more expensive duelling pistols, and there are some instances of local cuisine which feature elements of their anatomy - one oft finds the more luxurious bottles of Benedictine liqueurs with Seoid dorsal "hairs" immersed in the liquid.
The five Marcher Lords of Digebiti are entrusted with putting a limit to their depredations and organising regular hunting parties to curb their numbers. Off-worlders are not usually invited to join, but there is a small tourist trade organising private hunting parties for wealthy visitors. These events can prove quite dangerous.
It is rumoured that the Comoonin have been infiltrating Digebiti in order to exterminate the local variant, leaving the Orteedian Seoids as the sole exemplar in the Eight. This is, of course, utter bunk. There are further rumours that the Seoids can be brought to intelligence and rationality by mystical processes associated with the worshippers of the Witchspace Lobster. This is, naturally, complete balderdash. And some even whisper that the Seoids are associated with the Thargoids - with historical links predating the settling of The Eight. This is perfidious piffle.
