The early years
A:ma: was layed, hatched and grew up on the coasts of an uncharted little planet revolting around a dying class-g star in galaxy 3 and belongs to one of the prawn-like species - btw. calling one of them a shrimp is considered a cardinal crime- living all over the planet. Though technically interested, they are more what you would call a grounded people, if you can say this about water preferring species.
SaR teams from Fractulus sometimes landed to rescue stranded spacers, and once when A:mah was very young there was a huge Capisasstra invasion in orbit, which was successfully beaten back (although to be honest, the planet had so little to offer the capisasstra retreated as soon the realized it.)
But all this lit a spark in A:ma:. He looked up into sky, listened to stories about long gone heros like K:irk, Cur:tis:Newt:on, M:Clane, Cmd:r:Straker or the adventures about a prawn called a:sur, who was taken along a trip to the stars, when his home planet was destroyed by a poetry loving alien race. He always dreamed about walking the sky himself...
One day when Amah (which is the transcript in GALcop unispeech) got into his years of exploration, he heard about two spacers called B:e//: and B:raben:, C:obra:3: spaceships, and a C:riol:s in a place L:ave: He got curious, and with his best friend Ma:D:og sneaked on a tradingship. How he got there and what is more improtant how he ended up with 100c and a trusted cobra mk.3, powered by its powerfull c:64 main computer bank himself is not know anymore, also what happened then is all but a fading memory... All what is still certainly known, he later upgraded the ship's main computer to a A:mig:a and made it even to the frontier.
what happened then
After some time Amah returned to his home planet, he settled down but always longed for space. One day he heard rumours about an Explorer called G:ile:s. He learned the Ooniverse has changed.He saw holo pictures of breathtaking spaceships, battles and impressive space stations by a designer called G:r:iff:. Once more he made his way into space, but to his dismay the limited visual skills of a prawn made him slow to cope with all shades of the ooniverse. So, he stuck to low profile life... Then a short while back something strange happened to Amah, ships he knew for some time now started almost to look as he saw in the pictures of the species who had more visual abilities as him. He made contact to the person, who was the inventor of the special way these made. Out of kindness Cpt:So:lo: taught him the skills, and Amah was able to rebuilt a defunct Wolf Mk.II spaceship. He rebuilt now a great number of spaceships and called his project "noshaders", coming from the Zaoncian proverb "there's more than one shade to the ooniverse", which he happened to think it suits well.
The current projects
Though is no member of a salvage gang, A:ma: roams the eight galaxy to find old abandoned space ships to fix and maintain and to help his fellow prawns see the ships like almost on the screenshots around the space ports and bulletin boards
