− | 'ArcElite' is the Acorn Archimedes version of the original Elite, and its release in 1991 heralded the game's return to Acorn computers - this time running on the 32 bit RISC OS operating system. Acorn manufactured the BBC computers Elite began on and their software division, AcornSoft, first saw the potential of the most influential and possibly greatest space game in the history of computing. Arc Elite was written by Clive Gringas and Warren Burch with the blessing of original Elite authors Ian Bell and David Braben, and published by Hybrid.

− | This page exists so that the ship datacards from ArcElite can be seen by a wider audience. While some of the ships will doubtless be familiar to you, ArcElite introduced a number of new ships.
