Overview

The Goat Soup Syntax Rupture -normally preceded by adjectives such as "devastating", "calamitous", "cataclysmic" or "epochal", to emphasize the magnitude of the event- ranks among the most significant occurrences of the modern Galactic Era. There is the everyday reality as it was perceived by galactic citizens before the event, and then there is the completely inverted aftermath. The catalyst was a fairly primitive data hack of the GalCop central computer mainframe, causing small but precise and significant alterations, which resulted in the computer's irrevocable performance output shift.

Although security alerts had been triggered by surveillance analysis of the resistance group the Mnemonic Fraction, only minor precautions were taken, as the mainframe protection protocols were reasonably believed to be of the utmost state-of-the-art. No previous effort had ever come close to classify as a credible threat. In hindsight, the GalCop command underestimated the Mnemonic Fraction and their brilliant leader Gladous Masda.
