History and Warning

The JellyBaby Dispenser is a 'Joke' OXP and was 'invented' following numerous instances on the Forum where threads were derailed by these little Devils. As they were spamming the Forum, it seemed only fitting that they should be spamming Commanders' ships as well.
The JellyBaby Dispenser will supply JellyBabies regularly and frequently, and if left un-checked they will take over your ship. In this (and other ways!) they are much like Trumbles.
They sound Trumble-like, and the Dispenser will draw food from your hold to continue making them. Biologically, they are so similar to Trumbles that your ship's computer might even mis-identify them as Trumbles.
Thankfully any infestation can be dealt with in the same way, as JellyBabies do not tolerate heat, and will readily 'melt' if the ship they are infesting stays near the sun long enough to start overheating.

There are no plans to update this OXP beyond Oolite v 1.80 and there are no plans to release Jellybaby Dispenser in OXZ format.

Optional Lore

...They are effectively the larva of thargoid. The processing method is quite simple.

When catching a robot thargoid ship, check the 3rd hatch (the one with a strange sign looking like an ankh). Open it using obviously your anti-radiation and fluoride-proof equipment. 1/6 of the robots are not really robots but contain a bowl of 10 to 20,000 thargoid larva.

You will then need to proceed extremely fast. Drop these larva in liquid nitrogen. Leave them for 30 min. Then drop in liquid oxygen. Leave for another one hour. You can then boil them in a fructose syrup for 3 hours. The thargobenzonin-bromomethyl 5 will be replaced by fructose. The rest have been washed away or destroyed by the nitrogen and oxygen bath.
Colours might amaze you but remember that thargoid have an odd sense of colour. Colour seems to represent the family tree of a thargoid. By adding licorice in the syrup, you get licorice jellybears.
Some similar process can be done on adult thargoids. Thargoid digestive system, thargoid pseudo, first and secondary (remote) penis, thargoid "nervous" system can be processed for the joy of the smaller and the elder.
I particularly appreciate eating the female.

For your information, the haribo strawberries are made using a totally different process and used some part of edible female poet. But this is a completely different story I could explain later on to an adult and responsible group of auditors...
