Overview

Shortly after Staer9 Industries had its assets frozen by GalCop a new company was formed, known as GHOST (Galactic Heavy Ordnance And Ship Technology). It is rumoured that Staer9 has some place in the R&D team, but so far nothing can be proven.

The GHOST Gunship is the first ship to be officially released by GHOST, although several others have somehow found their way into the black market. GHOST requested a special grant from GalCop to produce ships tax-free, which the corrupt officials quickly agreed to after accepting a shipment of the Gunships for their fleet. Because of this the Gunships are quite good value-for-money and were quickly snapped up by many pirates.

Also known as the ASAD Gunship.

Version History

version 1 - original release

version 1.1 - unreleased test version (unreleased due to a misspelling which was thankfully found before release)

version 1.2 - made the lasers frangible and added two more front lasers, which was the original intent, also changed its name to GHOST Gunship (thanks El Viejo) as well as heavy polygon removal which chops it from 6400 to 3600

Tweaking

The asad-gunship error is a name mismatch bug in this OXP - http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/ASAD_Gunship

Should be fixed by editing the OXP's shipyard.plist to change line 5 <key>asad_gunship_player</key> to <key>ghost_gunship_player</key>
