I'm presuming that this is what you feed the AI before you ask it to write an OXP script.

This is what Gemini suggests you feed it. It's not very good yet, and contains several mistakes.

1) Does it work? When Gemini/DeepMind wrote you a script did it need tweaking?

Based on this, I didn't bother trying.

2) What happened with Qwen? Did you use the same script? What happened? Why did you move to Gemini?

As mentioned previously, I've been messing about with Qwen3-Coder since it was published a few days ago. I'll stick with it, because their web UI has unique features I like. I certainly don't recommend Gemini. Note the two example scripts, from Gemini *Pro* 2.5 (that's their paid model, by the way) and Kimi K2. The Gemini one is not even close, the Kimi one is a working Oolite script.

3) Is there anything else it might be helpful for dumb pilots such as myself to know about this?

I recommend you try Kimi K2. It's the first one I've seen that can code for Oolite from a cold start, without needing a day of coaching first. Click the link to view conversation with Kimi AI Assistant [[1]]
