The Ventura was concieved during our many attempts at designing good, useful trade ships. The thought of lots of power, combined with lots of cargo space was what brought about the Ventura. It isn't much in a fight, and has only two lasers, and a missile launcher, but the 80 tons of cargo it can carry, combined with a high max energy give it some help. The energy recharge rate was able to be raised due to the huge power plant that drives this ship.
