Overview
The Armoured Transport T1 is the principle craft employed by the powerfull Gaundlet Securety Inc. Their commanders are so secure in their confidence, they fly into anarchic systems with navigation lights full on. They have a right to be confident because the T1 is the tank of the spacelanes. Built with a tripple hull of thick duraniumsteel and armed top the teeth with the best equipment available on the open market (for those who grease a few palms).
Gaundlet Security Inc.
Gaundlet is the largest transporter of high value cargo. They even have the contract to deliver the GalCom payroll. Some say because GalCom got fed-up with the frequent spacelane banditry. Before the company got this lucrative contract, they specialised in blockaderunning and other high-risk pick-up and delivery contracts. Gaundlet still takes to the darker parts of space, but nowadays they will not involve themselves with smuggling. At least, not officially. "We get it there, nothing can stop us"
Notable Features
With an arsenal of four swivelling plasma turrets, 4 missiles and a keel-mounted military laser, the T1 is almost instoppable. Indeed only a concerted effort by a swarm of maneuvrable craft can cripple this beast. Pirate predation on transports has declined drastically however, since the Armoured Viper has become their devoted escorts. It is not uncommon for an Armoured Transport to carry cargo worth several tonnes in gold.
