Space/Volume: my understanding from perusing the BB is that "volume" is merely the volume of the "bounding box" (whatever that is!) around the ship (whatever that is) and that there is no real way of measuring the volume of a ship itself. No I didn't know that was the specific use (or it rings a bell but is long forgotten), but since the pattern was just WxHxL I thought I'd fit it into my attempted droll narrative, touching upon the nebulous relationship between actual ship sizes and attributed cargo capacities.
