Overview

A classic! The most famous starship in human history, it was the first of a range of mid- sized starships that were equally capable of combat and trading and require only a single pilot, a very important factor to many Commanders.

Notable Features

Shaped like a wide, blunt arrow head, the Cobra Mk III instils both a sense of respect and fear. Many a famous Commander has piloted a Cobra Mk 3 to infamy, such as the venerable Commander Jameson, a pioneer and hero of the Thargoid Wars.

The Cobra Mk 3 is the top of the line in its class, unmatched in terms of speed, manoeuverability, size and strength.

Disadvantages

The Cobra Mk III is a formidable machine, but like all 'Jack-of-all-trades', it rarely masters a single profession. Pilots wanting a machine for assasinations, bombing missions or a life of piracy may want to look to the heavier, multiple crew ships available, which have the capacity to store large offensive and defensive weaponry.

Verdict

All Commanders should try one of these ships at some point in their career. It is a truly multi function ship that is built into the history of humanity. Make sure you don't let the history of the ship lull you into keeping it, when you know you should trade up to something larger and more powerful
