Elite Bio
Marko Susimetsä first played Elite on Commodore 64 in 1985 and immediately fell in love with it. He was 12 at the time and the game is one that he says "defined" him as a gamer, alongside the Ultima IV and Civilization games. He later played the game also on Amiga 500 and 1200, on which he also played Frontier: Elite 2. It was only when he bought a PC in around 1996 that he started playing Frontier First Encounters.
On Oolite forums, Marko Susimetsä uses "Wolfwood" as his handle, which is a simple translation of his Finnish family name.
Fiction and Game Contributions to Oolite
Marko wrote his Marcan Rayger stories long before Oolite was born, but it tells a story that could have easily happened in Oolite as well.
Marko's main contribution to Oolite remains his Wolfwood's Variants OXP, which adds Asp Mk I, Cobra Courier, Cobra Rapier, Drake, Drake Mk II & Wolf Mk I into the game.
