Yeah, sorry - I always write entries in present tense for Elite, since my mental timeline is in Elite/Oolite and not Frontier. I'll try and move the entry to Oolite Wiki rather than make it all past tense. --[[User:Selezen|Selezen]] 16:04, 1 February 2006 (UTC) | Yeah, sorry - I always write entries in present tense for Elite, since my mental timeline is in Elite/Oolite and not Frontier. The original creators of many ships no longer exist, including the Cowell & MgRath Shipyard that pumped out the Cobras GalCop used. I wouldn't say that these are points of discontinuity, rather that FFE and FE2 make very little negative or positive reference to GalCop in order to leave the continuity well alone and leave it up to the fans and fanfic authors to fill in. --[[User:Selezen|Selezen]] 14:45, 3 February 2006 (UTC) |

Hmmm... should this be put into past tense as a part of Elite History? I realise it's "current" for Oolite and Classic elite, but this isn't just an Oolite Wiki (although you'd be hard-pressed to put that case, based on recent activity :) )--RavenRed 23:06, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
are the entries incompatible? if so, the present-tense entry should maybe read GalCop (Oolite). and you're right, the Oolite Wiki is inside Category:Oolite ;) --Murgh 07:38, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

is it? I have seen Selezens time frame, but is galcop actually part of the FFE history? as someone pointed out, the original creators of the moray starboat from elite no longer exist in the FFE universe, so there is points of discontinuity. from the Frontier 'history of things to come' in the Gazette, would indicate that galcop doesn't actually fit into the picture.
Galcop are part of the FFE history, but are now disregarded since the general consensus is that the organisation is defunct. My timeline puts GalCop's fall at about 3150, iirc, and states that GalCop and the other two organisations did not have a very good working relationship, so any Fed or Imperial sources are not gonna be fond of remembering such a thorn in thier side. --Selezen 14:45, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
