Phkb's groundbreaking Hermitage oxp has an easy start based around your uncle's rock hermit at Rexebe (Hermitage.oxp v.0.7.3)

There is also Phkb's Rexebe Citizen which grants citizenship to the player (vital if you are running Diplomancy as well)

Here the foremost minds of science defined and mapped the boundaries of knowledge, pushing back the edges of the unknown and defied any mystery to elude their investigations. The Traders Almanach

If you can spend some cash, try this: Best would be to buy microprocessors or luxuries and haul them to Usatqura, Raale, or Aanbiat. That first choice is decent and yields 33 Credits per ton. Furthermore, those microprocessors I mentioned can also be sold well enough in Xeaqu. For bounty and glory try Raale and Xeaqu, where illegal activities have been reported.
