Welcome to the Sandbox

Welcome to the EliteWiki Sandbox, use this area to test wiki things, and leave helpful stuff for others etc.

The sandbox is for:

  • learning
  • playing
  • testing

Test pre

==Overview==
A quick introduction in your OXP.

==Features==
* List feature 1 here.
* List feature 2 here.
* List feature 3 here.

==Requirements==
* This [[OXP]] needs Oolite v1.76.1.
* List dependencies here.

==Download==
{{OXPLevel|0}}
* Link to the file (e.g. [http://www.xyz/myfile1.0.zip myfile1.0.zip]) and filesize.

==Quick Facts==
{{Infobox OXPb| title = Your OXP name
|version = 1.0
|release = 2012-01-01
|license =
|features = Tools
|category =
|author = Your name
|feedback = Link for feedback
}}

Note: you must use the correct formula for the category or it will end up in the uncategorised page list.

Eg: "HUDs OXPs" is the only HUD formula which works; ... HUD, HUDS, HUDs, HUD OXP etc don't...

Name and Timestamp

Don't use these on normal pages though, just talk pages.

Pretty easy to do, just type 3 or more of these in a row: ~

Five in a row will do just the time and date. ~~~~~

and would produce this: 20:42, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Four in a row will do your name followed by date and time. ~~~~

and would produce this: ADCK 20:32, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Three in a row will do just your name. ~~~

and would produce this: ADCK

Just typing 1 or 2 of them in a row will do nothing. ~ OR ~~

Any more than 5 will just do the date with a bunch of tilde s after it.

Testing

Below are various combinations of pictures, links, and tables. These were created by ADCK for use on various Oolite pages.
Please feel free to edit them for testing on your own pages, but please revert any changes that reduce the functionality/quality when done.

Testing Spacing of Tables

Please note that this table is no longer in use, it was replaced by a nav box. But it is still a good example of how to do tables with pictures.

Table of all OXP's

Information regarding Oolite's expansion packs, and the latest OXP download links. New OXPs are posted here!

Test stuff

Question: Is this a practice FAQ question?
Answer: Yes.

Stuff from other sandbox that was lost

This included just the second table and the heading: "This is an example of using tables"

No idea what was in the other sandbox or how it was lost.

Other table examples added for comparison/reference

Tables

First example, using "nowiki" tags combined with spacing (which can look different inside the editing box). Produced by industrial systems

Luxuries        91.2₢      Perfumes, Spices, Coffee
Computers       84.0₢      Intelligent machinery
Machinery 56.4₢ Factory and farm equipment
Alloys          32.8₢      Industrial Metals

Sellable when you scoop up the robotic Thargons

Alien Items 27.0₢ Artifacts, Weapons, etc

Note that this first example allows manual control of spacing, but at the cost of making links & formatting inside the table a pain in the unmentionables!

Second example, using "tr" & "td" tags:

SectorPlanet
1Lave (ID 7, TL 5, Dictatorship)
2Diti (ID 33, TL 9, Democracy)
3Rigebi (ID 26, TL 12, Corporate State)
4Beesed (ID 49, TL 9, Multi-Government)
5Bisoge (ID 102, TL 12, Corporate State)
6Celaan (ID 85, TL 11, Corporate State)
7Ceraxete (ID 202, TL 6, Dictatorship)
8Maarabi (ID 184, TL 5, Multi-Government)
This is another example of using tables :)
