Xarthian mystery

Antient Archeaological Sites to explore!

Overview

Xarth archaeological sites that should spawn in poor systems.

Also introduces new equipment and Commodities.

This OXP looks truly fascinating when you open it up and peer inside... Here is some of the mission text:

You manage to dock your ship with an antient station of unknown origin, but you seem to be stuck in the docking bay and locked out of the inner station. There is evidence of recent activity and a few ships are visible. You find an alcove with some equipment that appears to have been left in some haste.

Further investigation suggests that someone, a Dr Ribliernik, was trying to link an interface through a robot to open the inner docking bay doors.

Ribliernik's notes: "After hours of study Ribliernik's notes reveal that the robot is actually a unit used by the Ribliernik to try to integrate various Xarth equipment with modern ship systems. The Dr has already installed a system on it to open the inner docking-bay doors. They also indicate that he was in some trouble:
if I can't make it back the drone will launch with the mayday signal, I've programed it to head for the witchpoint. It won't matter if I can avoid Vorkrull and his minions, I'll be back with the chipsets I need to finish the de-encryption of the dock-cycle maincode. Overriding the inner doors manually every time is a real pain, I should be able to do it from the ship, but the metaphysical link just doesn't work. I've got to make it to the University of Alsusqu and speak with Dr Barthalemeau, he'll know what to do

After hours of study Ribliernik's tools reveal that the robot is actually a unit used by the Ribliernik to try to integrate various Xarth equipment with modern ship systems. The Dr has already installed a system on it to open the inner docking-bay doors.

You've found an item that seems like it might intergrate with the Xarthbot, as Ribliernik called it. What do you do?

I STRONGLY encourage the modification and development of this free software by anyone to meet your needs, I only ask that you give me credit for the original work. Thanks and enjoy.???
