The Anole is a mediocre light transport vessel that fills a hole in the lower end of the hierarchy of ship stature. In an act of cynical market targeting, its manufacturers identified a gap in performance and retail pricing in-between the Adder and the Cobra Mk.1 and sought to profit. The resulting craft is a low-cost ship that by design slightly outperforms the Adder but fails to eclipse Cobra Mk.1 standards.

Overview
On a lengthy drought without success, Murgh Shipyards desperately strived to produce a ship that could find a reliable market, and settled upon the low-end bracket. Having faced the fact that to produce a less expensive ship than the Adder would be economic suicide, the tier immediately above was decided upon. Providing an increase in cargo space was a natural progression, as were diminutive augmentations to speed performance. Keeping costs down would mean falling short of most Cobra Mk.1 specs, however, designers were able to implement a fixture for modest cargo bay expansion.

Notable features
The hull of the Anole is of slightly larger mass than the Adder's, while innovative solutions allow for improvements to the exploitation of cargo space and allocation of an engine with marginally higher output than the rival ship. The designers' chief source of self-satisfaction stems from the cargo space expansion solution, though the ship's detractors claim this is so negligible that they might not have bothered.

Unveiling
Upon the ship's introduction to the market, a staged event illustrated the very features that the manufacturers wanted to expose, placing the Adder in poor light as the Anole's slight superiority was showcased. Though little media attention was given such insignificant motion in the least esteemed tier of the ship manufacturing industry, a statement was made that defined the new order of hierarchy, quietly but widely noticed across the segment of microbusiness.

Nor did the launch did not escape the notice of their immediate competitors, and it is believed the animosity generated and festered within the leadership of Adder manufacturers Spalder and Prime, motivated a record turnaround of the production of their response model, the Adder Speedster.
