This is an oxp which provides one way to somewhat circumvent the 7 light year rule that is coded into Oolite.

This is a WIP version. The intention is to make this equipment only buyable after one has finished a mission. However, I have yet to write said mission. This release is mainly to get feedback, any bugfixes, etc... I've tested it with everything that I can think of, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I've thought of everything, and I need some cunning commanders to test it themselves.

There are two types of generator available, which optimize the jump route based on either the number of jumps, or the time taken.

Pirates are added when exiting through the drone's wormhole, the number depending on the system's government type. Seeing an unpiloted drone making witchspace jumps ahead of a ship is bound to attract some attention, after all...

Thanks go to Ahruman and Thargoid for correcting my earlier scripting, and special thanks to Otki, who took my idea and ran with it, showing me a way to fix some of the problems I'd been having. And to all those who have contributed in the discussion on the forum.

Basic instructions:

You buy the wormhole generator as a piece of pylon based equipment. Available for now at TL11 and higher worlds, for the price of 750Cr. These values have been selected at random, and are not necessarily intended as the final product. Similarly with the pylon icons.
You select your hyperspace destination in the usual way on the galactic map. 
You fire the generator in the same way as you would a missile/mine. 
The generator then exits the system to another system in range that is on the route to the hyperspace destination you selected, leaving a wormhole in its wake. 
You then follow it through the wormhole. 
Once in the next system, the drone exits the system to the next system on the route. 
You follow. 
Repeat.
