Famous Planets

Velete (Animation).gif

Velete looks attractive when seen from space but to a humanoid visitor the surface stinks like rotten eggs. This smell is caused by the swamps on the planet and the algae in the seas that give off sulphurous gasses. Luckily the Velete Tourist Board is aware of this, and offers all visitors a free gas mask. The Traders Almanach

My trading tip for small money: You can't make a mistake with buying Veletese cheeses here. You've got the choice to move them to Inleus, Ededleen, or Qurave, which earns you about 180 to 210%, with Cebetela or Tiquat being the second choice in destinations and Beor last. Trading in Ededleen and Cebetela is quite dangerous for beginners. The cheeses from Velete are a good trading item, but keep the containers closed at any cost. I once stumbled over nasty pirate on my way to Ededleen who hit me before I could take him out, and damaged one of the food containers. Now I'm convinced that the smell on Veletes surface is just a harmless byproduct from its cheese production. And to add insult to injury, I was heavily fined when I finally vented the ship in the Ededleen station!
