Overview

The Fruit Bat is a cheap, somewhat manoeuvrable fighter/escort, often used by pirates and escorts alike.


History

It was designed for mass production by the now defunct CLAN Ltd. from Erbiti and the production facilities were then bought by SensimTrading and relocated to Anisor.

The Fruit Bat was not a very popular model, but when MASSTrans GLC bought into the traditional family business (holding 49.9 percent of the shares), they started to produce a slightly enhanced version exclusively for MASSTrans' subsidiary firm MT SEC under the name of Flying Fox. Sales of the standard model have been rising slightly, but demand for a customer version with the same specifications (with a slightly larger and more efficient engine) are estimated to be even higher. It is unknown if plans of releasing this model to the general public have been made.

Oolite Version 1.77 or higher is required.


Download

The original version from Rorschachhamster (2013) could be found in the FruitBat OXP V 1.01 on box. This version includes 3 minor bugs, one might affect Apple users, while another will prevent you from buying the cargo extension.
